Here is a letter that IFMA Cares recently received:
My name is Ron Jarvi. I am serving with the Minnesota Army National Guard in
Iraq. I want to thank you for making the arrangements to have someone go out to
my house to unplug the floor drain in our basement. The deployment has been
difficult for my wife and because of the longest separation in our 29 years
together, a severe cut in pay and challenges like the one you solved for her and
my boys.
I've learned many things in the 10 months I've been away, but perhaps the
most important thing is how generous people are with their money and their time.
You are just one more example of that spirit of giving. Thanks again for your
assistance and please forward this message, or at least get the word to the guys
who unplugged the drain...THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! You made today a better day in
Iraq for me.
Sincerely,
SGT. Ron Jarvi
