Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2009 IFMA Golf Event!

It was a gorgeous day, especially after the rain passed. We were lucky to have only a quick hard shower before the 11am scramble start and then a drizzle early in play that cleared to a beautiful afternoon. The smiles grew as the sun came out and the games heated up.

There were some really great hits, but not enough luck this year for anyone to hit the hole-in-one. There was luck to be had though, at the sponsor’s games throughout the holes of the golf course. Thank you to the sponsors for their contributions to the IFMA organization and the time they gave to have people at the holes to greet the golfers and entertain them throughout the day.

Everyone enjoyed some drinks at the end of the day in the clubhouse and while enjoying their meals we were all entertained with another year of the Ugly Short and Best Dressed contest. Nominations were requested from the crowd and the surprise this year was the same candidates being called up for both. Beauty and ugliness really are in the eye of the beholder. Thank you to those who participated in this running tradition.

Best of all I am amazed at the generous support of the IFMA Cares program as we were able to raise over $1,000 for their project use this upcoming year. This was done through donations and purchases of raffle tickets, mulligan’s or the magic ball.

A big thank you to everyone who made the day possible. The golfers, the sponsors, raffle and door prize donors, and the committee members of Special Events. I would also like to thank IntrinXec Management for their background support and the staff of Legends Golf Club who are always there with a smile and quick service.
