The objectives of the Education Committee are to:
- Provide educational opportunities for the IFMA membership beyond the
monthly program topics,
- Facilitate communication with other educational providers, and
- Foster student interest in facilities management.
The Committee accomplishes this by:
- Providing two half-day seminars per year.
- Communicating with educational institutions and other local associations
about educational opportunities, including higher education.
- Facilitating the CFM review courses.
- Developing resources that facilitate interactions between students,
new facility managers, and experienced facility managers.
- Developing a mechanism for Associate members to educate their products
and services to other members.
- Providing a scholarship to a student in the facilities management
or related field.
